I know this is going to sound completely random, but since MoH is all about authenticity instead of calling it the sniper class how about the designated marksman or just marksman class? It’s a subtle distinction, but more accurate to the current conflict and role that class plays in the game.

Just from watching BETA videos it looks like weapon recoil might be a little too low and that the head hit box is a little bit big. Also, any chance of not having the graphics pop up dead center of the screen when you get points? It is VERY distracting. If you bring them a little lower on the screen and reduce the font size it would be less distracting. BFBC2′s system is quite informative yet not distracting, and nearly perfect. Looking forward to providing BETA feedback once the 360 BETA comes online, hopefully this week.

I was a bit disappointed that the combat on at least the rush-like mode (Helmand) wasn’t more asymmetrical – we’re talking a realistic battle between US troops and Taliban here, so a Taliban air strike threw me straight out of the setting.

Also, the stationary machine-guns aren’t at all the threat the voice-over tries to communicate. The sniper rifles are one-shot kills, why not the 50-cal – after all, you’re terribly exposed while using it.

This might not be correct, but it seemed to me that snipers could stand behind cover and jump, shooting accurately while in the air – that badly needs to be fixed if this is so.

Gustav i don’t like this game, its the recoil and weapons, they just feel like lightweight plastic.

You can hardly feel any difference in any class.
What bugs me the most is (and a reason why i hate cod) is the small maps which promote camping, i really cannot stand it .

I enjoyed the objective based gamemode but the tank feels twitchy.

Sorry i had to cancel pre order on pc and ps3 – i just do not liek the gameplay at all, the game mechanics and how it works is just not for me, this is for the more cod-like fans i think.

ahh and ps3 freeze every other game is annoying

but as i have seen from videos its a COD style game with FROSTBITE grafics

the only bebefit i see for our friend gustav is that he earns experiance in close batlles dezign……this will help him do better in the Battlefield series

THE MAJOR DEFERENCE IM COD AND BF IS THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE STEADY RESPOWNS

so what if you give the apertunity to the cod players o respown near the enemy target base with this idea: (im talking for bf now)

respawn specialization- a wood log will give the squad the apertunity to camp near the enemy flag-respown and attack from there……if the enemy finds the wood log he fires and it geting destroyd

so all the cod fans will be pleased…..because this is the motive of making this game……….take cod fans in the EA side

These are the problems i am having. i know there are other posts but i always create my own when participating in a beta so i can keep track of all of my findings. this will be updated as the beta progresses. i am really enjoying the beta so far but there are alot of issues. please patch this game soon for the TALIBUM PS3 FREEZE ISSUE.

First fix the PS3 freezing issue.ITS BAD.it only happens when i am on the talibum side and only when i get enough points to get a killstreak. then the game will freeze and my PS3 freezes to the point i have to get up and shut it off manually.

When trying to play a mission the game either takes 5 min. to load or it never loads and you have to restart the game. the PS3 is fine but you have to quit the game.

-headshot hit detection is too weak. or doesnt work at all.
-regular hit detection is way off. i will have a guy lined up at start shooting and it doesnt show him getting hurt.
-way to may shots to kill a person. its about as much as battlefeid. met in the middle of bfbc2 and mw2.
-knife kills are way off. i spun around a guy and was behind him when he stabed at the air and he killed me
-when u try to reload nothing happens.
-when you try to run nothing happens
-when yo try to shoot nothing happens.

-expand on the ranking system. more of everything.
-add semiautomatic shotguns(if not already)
-add fire rate adjustment. 1 shot,3 shot, full auto.
-i dont care about prone, naw dont add it.
-spawn you closer to the action in mission type games.

that all i got for now. i really do like the beta so far and really look forward to how this game will be when fully polished. make sure to patch the hell out of this beta since it is only a month long.

i really do enjot this game ALOT. much more than MW2. keep up the killer work. cheers

I am pleasantly surprised the infantry combat isn’t the same as BC2, which wasn’t that good (not bad either…), but better.
The bradley tank feels a bit strange in this infantry combat environment and is a little different from BC2′s tank feel. I don’t know if it is meant to be like this, because I prefer bc2 feel of vehicles.

And I just encountered a hacker already <_<, headshotted me from across the map with m249 about three times. He had 43-0 score when i left.

I’ve played the beta for a while but it’s gone by now. It’s a real dissapointment in my eyes and I was really looking forward to MoH but I will leave it in the store. I know it’s a beta and a load of problems,bugs and other stuff will be fixed and changed until it’s getting released but nevertheless it’s not the game I was waiting for.

Upshot:
+Graphics are really fine
+Sound not bad
+Not encountered any really bad lag

-Lack of good atmosphere, it feels sterile and somehow without soul
-No Destruction 2.0 even with Frostbite
-Messed up Hitboxes. (Aiming for the crotch and getting a headshot?)
-Sound is a bit weird
-Maps are a bit small for such an amount of players (24 are too much for maps of this size – 20 should be the MAX!)
-Feels like a (unfortunately bad) mod for BFBC2
-It’s in my opinion worse than BFBC2 and CoD:MW1, MW2 is the biggest **** so I won’t compare it to that one.

Sorry but MoH just doesn’t feel like a quality product to me and that spoils the whole experience because it feels like it is (or will be) not worth the money I spend. Among the bugs which are still very existing, it just doesn’t feel like it was made with much care. So far it has been a massive dissapointment and I hope for a break in the beta to fix a lot of the stuff which isn’t working properly and that the beta will continue in a second phase later on. I would rejoin it and see for myself if the beta was the point which made the pic of this game so negative or if it still will be the same and if it still would feel “cheap”.

At the moment the only point of which I would buy this game would be the single player campaign but that alone is not worth the 50 bucks or more.

Hey Gustav, will you guys be adding ‘Lean’ in the final version? I think it’ll really add immersion to the game. Separate it from other ones.

I’ll never buy another $15 Battlefield game, hell, I’ll probably never buy another full Battlefield game ever, or even a game where EA and DICE are teamed up.

BF 1943 is unplayable 90% of the time due to the lag.
BF:BC 2 is unplayable a majority of the time due to the lag.

EA and DICE simply refuse to fix these broken games. They have our money already, so they can laugh all the way to the bank. Basically, DICE and EA can go screw themselves if they think I am spending any money to buy the new MoH game, or any other new BF game they produce, or, for that matter, paying for any dlc for any of their games.

You already got my $75 for two products that don’t work.

Obviously this is focused on lag, but I’m more focused on the crappy DLC DICE has been releasing and how much of a let down BFBC 2 is. I was expecting a more up to date BC 1 with more features. I get something that’s fun for about half of the time that BC 1 was a load of fun. Obviously they love their PC community far more than the console community since they gave the PC people server lists and the option to switch teams during a match, and better graphics. BC 1 was a test for Battlefield games on consoles. BC 2 was a test to try to make a sequel that isn’t ANYTHING like the predecessor besides the corest of core game mechanics. Hopefully MoH or BF 3 won’t be a test. My reccomendation-make the next games like Halo 3. Not spartans or the core mechanics, the custom games, forge, and theater modes. Added with good multiplayer and campaign (unlike halo 3). THAT would top Halo 3, if a developer could have a great campaign, multiplayer, private match option, map making, in-game camera, and build a great commmunity. Good Luck, you’ll probably need it.

its when i puch the run button. nothing happens. when i puch the reload button, nothing happens. i am sure we all have different problems. that is not why i posted it here. i run into this all the time. so to say since you dont have a problem with it doesnt mean alot of us do.

i play alot of fps and i do have experience with real fire arms. and this has nothing to do with zooming. just because you arent zooming, doesnt mean that your gun gives very weak damage. it is just less accurate. this game is supposed to be more realistic than all those arcade fps’s. and to say oh well just zoom is not a good angle for a developer. if your focus is about realisum then what i gave you is good feedback on how that is NOT realistic. dont say “oh well get used to it, our hip fire is going to continue to be unrealistic in the retail version” please dont talk to us like we are 11 year olds, i think we all know how to zoom, no noobs here.

this is a beta. and not the kind of betas that we normally see. ones that are just extended demos of a almost finished game. this is a true beta, almost alpha to me. expect a huge difference in the retail version. dont count those chickens before they are hatched man. expect a much better game than this crutch we have now.

Gustav, I’m really enjoying the BETA and look forward to the retail release! Many of the bugs/glitches I’ve encountered have previously been mentioned either here or on the forums. One I have not seen yet has to do with sprinting. Sometimes while sprinting you bump into something or change direction too quickly and you will stop sprinting. However you cannot start again immediately or even quite some time. Originally thought there was a form of cool down timer, but found out that by switching weapons you can sprint again immediately.

The second issue I’ve noticed is the hit detection combined with bullet damage. The first few hours of the BETA both were perfect, you could drop three targets with one 30 round mag. As of late thought it’s a challenge to drop two people with one mag. Server overload/connectivity issue or no region filters on the servers?

Thanks again for all of your and the rest of team at DICE’s hard work on this game. It’s not a BF style game and obviously never was meant to be. Ignore all the whiners whom want it to be a BF or COD game. It’s a nice blend of certain elements of both, but with new elements thrown in. Good job!
