“DICE can confirm that Battlefield 3 is currently in development but at this stage we have no further comments to add.”

But even better news is that we had a good playtest on Battlefield 1943 PC today and I am getting a lot of great feedback from my fellow hardcore PC players here at DICE!

A huge community is eagerly waiting for this.
You simply can’t do a complex game for consoles, your amount of buttons on the controllers simply don’t allow it.

Nice reading, But I cant give you any technical answers I’m sorry.
But it is very true that Sony have said they did made the platform hard to develop for, dont ask me why, seems like a weird thing to do =)
But developing for the PC and X360 is pretty much the same thing, but then making it for the PS3 is a whole new platform which makes the development cost go up really high.
But games will become better and better on the PS3 (and x360) the more games the company makes.
I think the reason that Valve is not supporting the PS3 themself is that they went really late into the console generation since they didnt focus anything on console before the orange box. And now since PS3 is the console with the least customers right now and that it is very expensive for them to kick start the PS3 development now they just dont do it.

everyone is moving to digital media now, and lets be honest, they OWN digital media on PC.
